Temperature zones of Ukraine
On July 1, 2013, Amendments No. 1 in dbn B.2.6-31:2006 “Thermal insulation of buildings” came into force. According to Order No. 82 of the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, the minimum permissible values of resistance to thermal insulation of enclosing structures, windows (Rq) and the division of the territory of Ukraine into temperature zones have changed. Changes in the heat transfer resistance of enclosing structures in 2017 took place only for the intermediate, attic ceiling and entrance doors.
Ukraine is divided into two climatic zones, each of which is characterized by a smaller or greater strength of resistance to heat transfer of window and door structures.
The first climatic zone (KZ) includes such areas as:
- Kievskaya;
- Khmelnitskaya;
- Zhytomyr;
- Rivne;
- Poltava;
- Vinnytsia;
- Kirovogradskaya;
- Cherkasy;
- Sumy;
- Chernihiv;
- Ternopil;
- Kharkiv;
- Dnepropetrovsk;
- Donetsk;
- Luganskaya.
The coefficient of resistance to heat transfer in this climatic zone is 0.75. That is, this zone is considered colder, which means that it is recommended to install windows in which there will be a two-chamber double-glazed window with energy-saving (or i-glass) glass and argon.
The second climatic zone of Ukraine includes:
- Zaporozhye;
- Odessa;
- Kherson;
- Mykolaiv region and ARC Crimea.
Here, the heat transfer coefficient is slightly lower, compared to the first climatic zone, and is 0.60. But the meaning of a two-chamber double-glazed window or i-glass, of course, is also there. The second climatic zone is more sunny and therefore the option of multifunctional glass will be very useful.
As for the doors to multi-storey residential buildings and public buildings, then:
- for 1 TK of Ukraine – 0,44 sq. m. K/ W
- for 2 kz Ukrainy – 0,39 sq. m. K/ W.
