Reinforcing profile – what is it and why is it needed

Reinforcing profile is an important component of a plastic window, affecting the strength of the installation structure and  its service life.

The reinforcing profile is the skeleton of the window bearing the load,  it is located inside the plastic profile.  Therefore, it  is made of galvanized steel to prevent the  formation of rust, according to a special technology.

Why do I need a reinforcing profile?

Reinforcement of the plastic profile gives rigidity and strength to  the window structure, protection against destruction, which is necessary for the proper operation of window mechanisms, the retention of a large weight of the  window or doors, resistance to wind loads.

A window without a reinforcing profile will last little, because after a short time the PVC profile will begin to sag,  the  geometry of the  structure will be violated, the window sash with noise insulation will  not fit snugly  to  there will be drafts in the frame and in  the room.  There will probably come a time when you simply can’t  close the window.

Reinforced reinforcement is   simply necessary for colored plastic windows and doors, as  they actively react to thermal radiation, increasing the  range of thermal expansion compared to white windows.

Many window companies do not reinforce windows at all.  This, of course, makes windows or doors cheaper, but dramatically reduces the quality and durability of the product.
